   It is true – this product will color your lashes a darker shade – a great concept if you have nice thick lashes that are light colored. I, however, have just come to realize that I rely on mascara for much more than just color, but also to add volume and length. Make sure you take the time to prep all your supplies and only do 1 eye at a time because it can be messy and it will sting and make your eyes water. If you’re like me and were at the end of the line when they were handing out “thick and luscious” eyelashes, you may be disappointed with the results of this product. I can now tell that mascara is the real answer for me. . . . poop!

   Just used this for the first time. I have thin medium brown lashes with light tips and this black tint worked – my lashes are darker, and now I can see how thin they really are! I found it pretty easy to use because I didn’t feel the need to go all the way to the roots. As others have said, a mascara brush would probably be better than the swabs supplied if your lashes are very light. No mess, no pain, no mixing, I did one eye at a time to make it easier. The only question I have is why doesn’t the pipet fit all the way into the Activator bottle? I don’t know how easy it will be to get the Activator out after several applications and the bottle is less full. I will keep using this and also a growth accelerator to make them thicker.

   i didn’t think it was at all easy to apply but it does darken your lashes.

   I have WHITE blonde eyelashes and eyebrows. I never leave home without mascara (yeah, okay, and a little lipgloss, too. I’m vain). I found so much FREEDOM in using this product! I can now go to the water park, the pool, the beach, etc and actually have noticeable eyes without having to bother with waterproof mascara (that destroys your lashes anyway).

   It was easy & fast to use — start to finish, including clean up, it took maybe 10 minutes. If it’s messy for you, you’re using too much of the gel at one time. The trick is to make sure you use the 1st chemical several times and allow it to soak through the hair’s cuticle. Once that’s done, it’s just a matter of barely touching your lashes with the colorant gel and presto! Dark lashes!

   Ladies, it only COLORS your existing lashes, it doesn’t make them longer or thicker. If you take your time and apply it carefully, you can get it to go from the base to the tips of your lashes. I colored my lashes about 3 weeks ago, and it’s still going strong. I’ll probably do a touch up in another week or so. I’m very happy with this product. I wish I’d found it 20 years ago. I can’t imagine not having this in my beauty arsenal. Now that I’ve discovered it, I’ll never be without it again.

   I was hoping I could avoid putting on mascara for a month. I had my daughter apply it, and she followed the directions very carefully (she’s an M.D.) She put it on the lashes of my right eye, so we could compare. Unfortunately, we saw no difference at all. The instructions say to wash the eyelashes after application of the gel colorant. Maybe it should be left on longer, but that is not what the instructions say. Perhaps it works for women with very blond lashes, but it did not work for me.
