Professional Clean for Cheap,
I was first introduced to ultrasonic cleaners when I went to the jeweler to have my incredibly dirty engagement ring cleaned. Their cleaner did such an amazing job that when they offered to sell me one like it for $100, I almost accepted. I decided to browse around and purchased this one instead. It has done a great job at keeping my ring in the shape it left the jewelers. I had it delivered to my office and all of my friends cleaned their jewelry as well; we all loved it.
The only recommendation I would make is that you don’t need to use as much of the cleaning solution as the instructions specify you do. In fact, using that much makes the jewelry feel a little oily. I recommend about 1/2-1 cap of solution in some warm water…just enough water to cover whatever you’re putting in there. That works wonders for my jewelry and conserves the solution so it doesn’t run out too fast.

Perfect for old coins,
I had a coin that could not be graded because it had PVC contamination from being stored in a PVC holder. Without cleaning solution, this machine sonically cleaned the coin without damage of any type. Tamping the coin dry with a microfiber cloth, i was able to have it graded without the grader noting any past cleaning. It is gentle and complete. Use multiple times for heavy contamination, and of course use their cleaning solution for jewelry and such.

WARNING!,
I purchased this last March, but had not used it. Sunday morning, I decided to unpack it and clean my jewelry. I followed the instructions though actually used only a fourth of the recommended Blitz Gem Cleaner, diluting with water to the fill line. My jewelry (a diamond ring, a garnet ring, an emerald and diamond ring) came out looking quite spectacular — EXCEPT: one of my emerald stones had shattered! I will now have to have it replaced. I know emeralds are soft and read the instructions both regarding use of the cleaner and the instructions on the Blitz cleaner. NOWHERE was there any mention of not using with certain gemstones. I’m very frustrated over this and guess I’ll be buying an emerald stone to fill the gap. I have to wonder if the sound waves were set too high or…..?
