  1. This item is HUGE. You will swim in it. It’s frankly nothing more than a robe with big sleeves and big cape. The material is heavy and feels as rough as a potato sack. Best to make it yourself next year.

  2. While I’m ashamed of paying this much, if you’re going to rock the jedi this is the one you want.

The material, hood, and sleeves are spot on. I checked out the cheaper versions at a local shop and not only are they not full length the material is transparent and crap.

Two things to keep in mind:

    1) This thing is HUGE – I’m 6 feet tall and it definitely drags on the floor. The dragging is the proper look, but depending where you will be wearing it you might want to consider pinning up the bottom a few inches.

    2) The material is heavy and could be too much for warm weather

  3. Like most people looking for a good Jedi Robe, we’re all a little leery of getting something cheap or something which didn’t meet our expectations. This one caught my eye because of the huge hood and huge arm openings – just like they should be. I’ve seen others out there that are very thin and cheap looking, or the hood is tiny and makes you look like a gnome.

This robe is NOT one of them. It is thick, yet not so thick it would cook you. In my neck of the woods, having a robe like this to keep you warm is a good thing on October 31st as it gets pretty cold. The hood is just right and the arm openings seem to be perfect. The fabric texture is not smooth but it’s not super coarse either – pretty much in the middle. It is a little long for me (6’0″) but it can be easily hemmed.

This company has the best price on this item on the net that I’ve found and if you can find it cheaper, buy it! All in all, I recommend it for anyone putting together a jedi costume. Yeah, it’s more expensive than others but it’s the most realistic one I’ve ever seen.

If you think you can make it cheaper, go ahead but I’ll bet that all the materials, time and effort will make you wish you just purchased this one instead.

  4. I’m a huge Star Wars fan and made a Jedi tunic several years ago. All I needed to finish my costume was a Jedi robe. However, I was slightly disappointed with the Super Deluxe Jedi robe. The robe itself is a good length (it was a bit too long on my 5’9″ frame) and the general shape is correct (i.e. head engulfing hood and wide sleeves). I was disappointed with the fabric. It was too smooth and felt-like, while the fabric in the movies appears coarser. If you are not too detail obsessive, this is a good robe. Also, be sure to shop around. This is not the best price I’ve found.

  5. I have been ramping up for this year’s halloween by putting together a Jedi Costume. After having modified a bathrobe, hand made a set of tabbards and an Obi, found a pair of credible boot tops, and even created my own lightsaber out of drain pipe and windshield wiper blades, I was only missing one thing; That long flowing brown robe that is the true mark of the Jedi Bendu. Okay I’m a dork… So after browsing amazon for a while and seeing the various choices, some obviously unworthy and some not so obviously, I was instinctually drawn to the Super Deluxe Jedi Robe. The problem i ran into was the size “Standard” and obviously not knowing how authentic looking this robe actually was. I drove down to a local costume store and tried on the “Deluxe Jedi Robe” version and was pleased to find that the standard size actually fit decently on my 6’4″ frame, even though the “Deluxe” was visibly thin and the hood wasn’t that giant melon engulfing thing like in the movies – also the robe didn’t go all the way to the floor, but overall the thing fit well. So I chose to order the Super Deluxe on a wing and a prayer. It arrived today and right out of the box it was the obvious right choice. The robe is made of thick material, the color is right on at a dark brown (not the near black like in the picture) the hood is massive and swallows my whole face, and the hem actually just sweeps the floor as I walk in it. The sleeves are huge and swallow up my whole arm whether they are hanging or crossed in front of my chest. As i said I am 6’4″ tall and have broad shoulders and long arms, and this robe fits great – anyone looking for a good authentic robe and wanting to avoid cheap imitation like looks will not be unhappy with this product. This robe would probably also work just as well for Lord of The Rings costumes or any other robe wearing character or monster as long as the dark brown color is appropriate. Maybe the only thing to consider is the thickness of the material in that it will probably be a very hot garment. Finish this sucker off with a Force FX lightsaber or a Park Sabers lightsaber and all you’ll need then is the force. So if you see any 6’4″ jedi’s walking around with a 2 year old Master Yoda both bearing force fx lightsabers… that’s us. Good luck and may the force be with you.
